The Halifax Regional School Board takes great care when making a decision to alter the normal operation of schools in the event of severe or inclement weather.

Cunard is part of the J.L. Ilsley Family of Schools. 

It is the goal of HRSB to make the decision to close as close to 6 a.m. as possible.  There are several ways you can find out:

Permission Form Required

In the event of a mid-day school closure, it is essential that the school have written instructions on file from the parent/guardian as to where students are to go, and how they are to get there.  School staff are unable to leave the building until all students are safely on their way.  Your attention and consideration is this regard is greatly appreciated.
